Volunteers are at the heart and soul of FoCoMA, and FoCoMX would not be possible without hundreds of volunteer hours offered in support of the festival. You can help by working the door at venues, assisting with production and staging, helping at will-call and ticket stands or even Emcee a stage! We want you to get involved!

Benefits of volunteering include free admission to the festival (if you work four or more hours), access to great music, and the added benefit of knowing you personally played a vital role in one of the greatest local music festivals the world has ever seen!

If you’re volunteering for this year’s FoCoMX Festival, we ask that you attend one of the below volunteer orientations. Orientation should take roughly one hour and will include information regarding your shifts, roles, responsibilities, etc

Orientations dates and times are as follows:

Saturday, April 7th @ 10:30 am
Saturday, April 7th @ 1:00 pm
Monday, April 9th @ 5:30 pm
Wednesday, April 11th @ 12:00 pm
Friday, April 13th @ 8:00 am

Orientations will be held at the FoCoMA Offices located directly next to KRFC. The street address is 619 S College Ave. The offices are located down the alley from the Alley Cat to the left of KRFC.

If you’d like to get involved, please submit the form below and follow the instructions on the confirmation page. After submitting the form you will be asked to visit our scheduling website where you can sign up for shifts.

Job descriptions:

PRODUCTION ASSISTANTS/STAGE MANAGER: Some venues need a logistically minded person to assist with keeping the shows on schedule. This may include helping bands load-in, keeping track of time, and helping bands with questions they may have. If you have questions, email Josh at Volunteer@FoCoMA.org

DOOR PEOPLE: We are looking for people to assist at the door, you will be looking for wristbands at every venue. YOU WILL NOT BE CHECKING IDS.

EMCEES: Not shy? Know some good jokes? Have the inside scoop on a local band? This may be the perfect job for you. We’re looking for one person on each stage to announce the bands, give shout outs to the sponsors, and do the occasional giveaway. Emcees will also be asked to assist the door person between announcements.

GREEN ROOM: Assistance in the green room will entail anything from setup to smooth operation to takedown. The staff of the Mayor of Old Town (this year’s Greenroom location) will be handling the service of food and alcoholic beverages, but there will be plenty need for our Greenroom volunteers to make sure things are where they need to be and serve as a go-between for Greenroom guests and Mayor staff. If you sign up for this shift, be ready to do whatever is asked of you (within reason, of course!)

TICKET/INFORMATION BOOTH: In an effort to keep lines down at the venues, this year there will be 2 locations in Fort Collins to purchase wristbands during the festival. We need responsible individuals to provide information and sell wristbands. You will be handling money, so we’re looking for extremely honest and trustworthy people to handle this responsibility.

FLOATERS: We will have two floaters scheduled for each ‘Zone’ and one floater who is mobile and able to travel around town as needed. The two zones are Downtown and Campus West. With an expanded list of venues in Campus West, we’ll need more support down in that area than in previous years. Floaters will be on their feet all night and need to remain mobile and alert.

FoCoMX PREP: The week of the festival April 4-8th we will need help getting it all together. Admin and strong organizational skills are helpful. These shifts are longer than other shifts, but they will allow you to see all of the festival! There are a limited number available, so if you want one, sign up for it soon!

Simply submitting this form does NOT sign you up for volunteering. Please make sure to visit the scheduling site after submitting this form.
